WESTPORT — High school students are invited to submit entries in a “video essay” contest sponsored for Pride Month by state Rep. Dominique Johnson, D-143.

The contest, open to high school students in Westport and Norwalk, should address the theme, “”What is something you have done to build community that makes you most proud?” according to a publicity release.

Videos should must submitted by May 15. Entries should be emailed to Dominique.johnson@cga.ct.gov.

The videos should be from one to three minutes long, contest organizers said. They will be judged in two categories — one for freshmen and sophomores, and the other for juniors and seniors. Winners will receive a state citation and be honored by Johnson at a June 10 gathering at Veterans Park in Norwalk.
