FAIRFIELD — Fairfield University will host a Woodstock-themed gala next month, offering a groovy way to support a Connecticut-based nonprofit dedicated to arts enrichment opportunities.

The Jamie Hulley Arts Foundation will put on its 24th annual Evening for the Arts Gala on Sept. 19th at the Quick Center for the Arts. Jay Stollman’s Groovin’ on Tour: A Woodstock Generation Rock Experience will provide live entertainment for the event.

“This concert features collection of the iconic songs that become the soundtrack for life in the late 1960s and early 1970s,” says Foundation director, Judy Primavera. “Purchase tickets early, as we are likely to sell out.”

The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with a reception and raffle preview, with the performance beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door, and can be purchased through the Quick Center Box Office or online at this link.

The gala is the signature fundraising event for the Foundation, which provides educational enrichment for youth and professional development for early career professionals. The organization’s work includes workshops, scholarships, and awards programs. More information is available here.
