GREENWICH — The Greenwich Art Society is hosting a special event this weekend, inviting people to learn plein air painting from a master artist.

The workshop will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4th at Tod’s Point. Andrew Lattimore will provide a demonstration of plein air painting, after which participating artists will make their own paintings on site. Lattimore will offer individualized guidance, feedback, and instruction, with a particular focus on color, value, texture, form, and atmosphere.

The event is open to students of all levels. People are asked to bring their own paints, pallets, canvases, and an outdoor easel, as well as a lunch and beverage.

The rain date for the workshop is Sunday, Oct. 11th. For more information, visit greenwichartsociety.org.
