GREENWICH — The Greenwich Art Society has debuted its first online art competition, with selected artists exploring “what is visible yet overlooked.”
In Plain Sight will be on view through April 10th. Juried artworks can be seen here.
“In reviewing the work, I prioritized pieces that demonstrated a strong synthesis of concept and execution—where intention and form were in clear symphony,” said artist Margaret Vega as part of her juror statement. “The most compelling works moved beyond technical proficiency to offer a distinct visual language, one that felt both personal and universal. I was particularly drawn to artists who embraced whether through use of materials, unexpected composition, or thematic investigation, the nuances that are often normalized or overlooked, asking us to pause and engage.”
Several of the featured pieces are available for sale.
Expanded coverage of Fairfield County cultural events is made possible with support from the Fairfield University Quick Center for the Arts.
