WESTPORT — “Five Women Wearing the Same Dress,” described as a “funny” and “poignant” play about bridesmaids at a Tennessee wedding reception, will be staged on June weekends by the Westport Community Theatre.

Performances are set for 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. Sundays from June 9-25, plus an additional show at 8 p.m. Thursday, June 15. The production will be staged at Westport Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Ave.

The play, written by Alan Ball, has been called “an irreverent and funny look at the intricacies of friendship and the power of similar dressing,” according to a publicity release.

The cast includes: Katelyn Ferrari, Martha Hegley, Ash Lago, Lynnette Victoria, Brodey Ott and Emily Ramsey.

The production is directed by Frederic Tisch.
