WESTPORT — A holiday musical tradition will again brighten the season when the “Candlelight Concert” is performed Dec. 16 and 17 at Staples High School.

For an 82nd year, the concerts will be performed by Staples musicians and singers at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, and at 3 and 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17.

The is no charge for tickets, which can be obtained starting at 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1. A maximum of four tickets can be reserved by clicking here.

The Staples Symphonic Orchestra, Symphonic Band and Choral Ensembles will perform traditional Candlelight favorites, such as “Sing We Noel” and “Hallelujah Chorus.”  Other selections will include movements from Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Suite,” music from the movie “Home Alone” by John Williams and the first movement of Dan Forrest’s “Jubilate Deo,” according to publicity for the event.
