WESTPORT–Anticipating the inflow of new students into the Westport Public Schools is critical to ensuring a smooth on-boarding process for both parents and their kinds.

If your child will be five years old on or before September 1, 2026, the school system encourages you to register them as soon as you can. Early registration helps the administration plan ahead and ensures a smooth start to your child’s educational journey.

Kindergarten Orientation

In May, a kindergarten orientation session will occur at your child’s elementary school for both you and your child.  A school-specific invitation will be sent to all registered kindergarten families.  If you are unsure about the elementary school your child should attend, please go to our school locator.
