NORWALK — Visitors to the Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk can now learn more about how avian species play a part in marine environments, with a new exhibit debuting today.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was scheduled to open Seabirds Between Worlds, which highlights the lives of Atlantic puffins and common murres. Both species live in coastal habitats in the colder environment of the North Atlantic Ocean, migrating to pursue warmer temperatures in the Northern Hemisphere during the fall and winter.
Seabirds Between Worlds is designed to give visitors an up-close look at these two species, provide immersive storytelling, and educate visitors about the challenges facing these species. For more information on the Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk and its exhibits, visit maritimeaquarium.org.
