CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa.–The Staples field hockey team had a successful weekend at the Max High School National Invitational at the Proving Grounds in Conshohocken, Pa. over the weekend.

The Wreckers defeated Kingsway Regional High of New Jersey 3-1 on Saturday. Daisy Hackett, Leah Larit and Catherine Cirasuolo all scored. Emilie Russell and Mary Stevens had assists. Goaltender Paige Knesich made four saves.

Staples blanked First Colonial of Virginia 3-0 on Sunday. Leah Larit scored twice, Stevens recorded a goal and an assist and Katie Larit had an assist. Staples outshot First Colonial 17-0.

Staples (8-0 overall) will visit Darien Thursday, Sept. 25 at 6 p.m. The Wreckers are back home Monday, Sept. 29, to host St. Joseph of Trumbull at 4.
