Staples field hockey continued its winning start with a 7-0 victory over Norwalk on Wednesday and a 10-0 triumph over Danbury on Friday — both on home turf.

The Wreckers had a pair of explosive individual offensive efforts in each game with Leah Larit scoring twice and tallying a pair of assists against Norwalk and Ava Pattinson, a freshman, logging four goals — a hat-trick plus one — against the Danbury Hatters.

In the Norwalk game, Katie Larit, Mary Stevens, Pattinson, Stella DiGeronimo and Daisy Hackett all found the back of the cage. In addition to Leah Larit’s two assists, Stevens and Catherine Cirasuolo also had helpers.

In the win over Danbury, Leya Chaves scored twice and Hackett, Stevens, Leah Larit and Ella Ledenko all had goals. Stevens had two assists for a three-point game, DiGeronimo set up two tallies and Leah Larit tacked on an assist.

Goaltender Olivia Pattinson made one stop against Norwalk and four more versus Danbury as the Wreckers have blanked each of their first four opponents.
