WESTPORT–A Bridgeport woman working for a cleaning service was arrested and charged with stealing jewelry from three customers’ homes in Westport after investigators found that she was trying to pawn the items, police said.

Attention turned to Jasmine Poblano, 28, after the residents reported in June that jewelry was missing. Police determined that all three victims employed the same cleaning service.

“In a subsequent interview, Poblano confessed to taking jewelry from several local homes,” Westport police said in a release.

On Tuesday, Poblano turned herself in at police headquarters in response to warrants for her arrest. She was charged with three counts of third-degree larceny. Unable to post $250,000 bond, she was taken to Stamford Superior Court for arraignment.
