A 35-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested and charged with first-degree larceny after he allegedly pocketed $20,500 paid to him for construction work on a Westport home that he never completed.
An arrest warrant was issued for Roy Saldana of 472 Garfield Ave. in early February, 2024, after the Westport homeowner who hired him waited in vain for the work to be completed or the funds returned.
On June 24, 2025, Westport police collected Saldana at Superior Court in Milford, Connecticut, where he was being held on the Westport warrant. He was released on a $20,000 bond pending a July 8 appearance in Stamford Superior Court.
