WESTPORT — Led by 24 points from Sam Clachko the Staples High boys basketball team rolled to a 67-52 win Friday over visiting Brien McMahon of Norwalk.

With the win, the Wreckers improved to 5-1.

Clachko hit five 3-pointers. Mason Tobias scored 15, Adam Udell dropped in 10 and Caleb Smith added nine points.

The Wreckers host St. Bernard at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15. (Game schedules are subject to change; click for the latest CIAC updates.)
