WESTPORT — The author of a new book exploring the sharp political divide among Americans — and how it could be bridged — will speak Sunday at the Unitarian Church in Westport.

Diane Hessan will discuss her book, “Our Common Ground,” at 11:30 a.m. at the church, 10 Lyons Plains Road. Those attending in person must wear masks. The program also will be streamed via the congregation’s Zoom link.

Hessan’s book is based on surveying more than 500 voters monthly over a four-year period starting in 2016.
