WESTPORT–The Historic District Commission recently approved the issuance of a permit to demolish the house at 78 Sylvan Road N.

The 1¾-story cape was built in 1952. It has 2,200-square-feet of living space, four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a basement area, a garage, an enclosed porch, a three-quarter story, an unfinished attic expansion and an unfinished attic.

The property traded hands in July for $975,000. The property’s current assessment is $644,100.

Sylvan Road N runs north off Post Road West between Kings Highway S and Kings Highway N.
