A Westport resident is co-chairing the spring fundraising event benefiting Abilis, a nonprofit that provides services supporting people with disabilities and their families around the region.

Leslie Smith Clarke, a Westporter whose daughter Paige is a recipient of Abilis services, is the co-chairwoman of the agency’s “Spring for Abilis” gala, planned for 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at the Woodway Country Club in Darien.

The event will feature dinner, dancing, and live and silent auctions. Billy Blanks Jr. will emcee the proceedings, and music will be provided by ETA Music. To reserve tickets online, click here.

Abilis — “Advancing abilities for people with special needs” — supports more than 800 individuals with disabilities and their families from birth through their senior years, according to the nonprofit. Founded in 1951, the organization offers programs in southwestern Fairfield County communities, including Westport.
