Richard was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Judith Glaser, who passed away four years ago. Richard leaves behind his children, Jake Glaser of Westport and Rebecca Rabson, their spouses, Liz Glaser and Jeremy Rabson, and his four grandchildren, Sean and Marcus Glaser and Gideon and Eli Rabson. He also leaves behind his brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Carole Glaser, and his companion, Connie Freeman.
Rich had a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Kansas and was a devoted Jayhawk fan. He was an avid crossword puzzler who regularly completed the NYT Sunday puzzle in pen and enjoyed a good martini.
Rich loved to cheer his Connecticut grandsons on while they played hockey, even at the 7 a.m. games. Rich was the bee’s knees, a true oner, and someone who will be missed by all of those who he leaves behind.
