WESTPORT — Traffic in the Greens Farms/southeastern sections of town will be disrupted Sunday morning along the local segment of the Fairfield Half Marathon.
Caution is advised from about 8:15 to 10:15 a.m. Sunday, June 5, over three miles of Westport streets included in the half marathon course, police said.
Runners will enter Westport on Greens Farms Road at the Fairfield town line, continuing to New Creek Road and on to Beachside Avenue before returning to Fairfield.
Through traffic will be stopped or severely limited while runners are on the course, police warn.
Emergency personnel will monitor the course in case problems arise.
Drivers should consider alternate routes for the duration of the race, police said.
