Wreckers Girls Soccer Ties Again

WESTPORT–In their home opener, the Wreckers Girls Soccer team fought to a 1-1 tie against New Canaan Monday afternoon. The Wreckers stout defense was boosted by two spectacular blocks by goalie Cami Kolek.

The Wreckers scored first, late in the first half. Gabi Gonzalez passed the ball to Caitlin Chu who then passed to Evelyn Chudowsky, who nailed a scoring shot past the New Canaan goalie.

New Canaan’s only goal was from a corner shot in the second half.

Next up: Friday at 4:30 p.m. at Greenwich.
