NORWALK — Staples boys basketball team rolled to a 74-50 road win over Brien McMahon on Tuesday.

Sam Clachko poured in 32 points — including a 6-for-6 performance from 3-point land — to go along with four assists and a pair of steals. He shot 75 percent from the floor overall and hit both of his free throws.

Mason Tobias had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds along with six assists and pair of steals. Charlie Bowman scored 13 points and Adam Udell added eight points, seven rebounds, six assists and a steal.

Staples led 23-13 after one quarter and pulled ahead 42-26 at the half.

The Wreckers improved to 6-0 for the season, and will visit Norwalk at 7 p.m. Thursday. Thye return home next Tuesday to play Stamford, also at 7 o’clock. (Game schedules are subject to change; click for the latest CIAC updates.)
