WESTPORT —  A Hamilton College lacrosse player from Westport recently was selected for All-America recognition.

Justin Pearl, a junior at the New York college and St. Luke’s School graduate, received honorable mention at midfield when this year’s selections were announced in May for the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association’s Division III All-America Team.

For the current season, Pearl ended up with 30 points on 27 goals and three assists in 16 games. He collected 18 ground balls and caused seven turnovers, according to Hamilton’s sports information department.

He scored a career-high five goals in the New England Small College Athletic Conference quarterfinal win at Tufts in April and found the back of the net four times in a victory over MIT in March.
