WESTPORT — The Staples High boys basketball team remained unbeaten to start the season, posting a 75-50 win over visiting Berlin in its holiday tournament championship game Thursday night.

Chris Zajac scored 25 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead the way as the Wreckers improved to 3-0.

Cody Sale scored 12 points, and Caleb Smith added six points and had seven rebounds.

Staples is back in action Tuesday, Jan. 3, with a visit to Newtown at 7 p.m.
