WESTPORT–Staples girls soccer shut out visiting Danbury 3-0 on Thursday. With the win, Staples’ second shutout, the Wreckers improved to 3-2 in the early going.

Alexa Van Aken, Toni Rizzi and Kathryn Fontana scored and Emme Dorfman, Addie Talbott and Christina Suarez had assists.

The Wreckers are scheduled to visit Fairfield Warde Saturday at 11 a.m. and will host Norwalk Tuesday at 4:15 p.m.
