Staples field hockey, girls soccer tourney games postponed

WESTPORT — The FCIAC field hockey and girls soccer tourney semifinals were postponed Monday, and will be played Wednesday.

In field hockey action, No, 2 Staples will take on No. 3 Ridgefield at Norwalk’s Brien McMahon at 7 p.m.

The No. 2 Staples versus No. 6 Darien soccer game will take place at New Canaan High, also at 7 p.m.

Winners will advance to the championship round, both games now moved from Thursday to Friday. The soccer championship will be played at New Canaan at 5 p.m, The field hockey title game will be played at a site to be determined at 7 p.m. (Schedules are subject to change; click for the latest CIAC updates.) — Andy Hutchison
