MILFORD — Harry Goodburn’s second goal of the game lifted STORMAC (Staples/Norwalk/McMahon) hockey team to an exciting 3-2 win Wednesday over Masuk of Monroe at Milford Ice Pavilion.

Goodburn’s winning score was unassisted, early in extra time.

STORMAC had evened the score late in the third to force OT when Jakub Laskovsky was assisted by Cooper Paul and Kyle Hensen. Brett Malizia assisted Goodburn’s first-period tally as STORMAC took a 1-0 lead.

Masuk scored its two goals on power plays, one in each of the first two periods, but STORMAC goaltender Mason Mountain made big saves, 29 in all, to keep things close in the early going.

STORMAC returns to action at 8 p.m. Monday with a visit to the Frederick Gunn School’s Spartans in Washington. (Game schedules are subject to change; click for the latest CIAC updates.)
