MIDDLETOWN–The #2 seed in the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference Invitational boys doubles tennis tournament are Staples’ Luke Brodsky and Alex Guadarrama. They won the semi-final round of the tournament yesterday, handily beating Sam Gioffre and Alex Reyes of Wilton, 6-0, 6-1.

This afternoon, Brodsky and Guadarrama will face the #1 seed, Anders Hansen and Will Donnelly of Darien for the state doubles title.

Guadarrama and Brodsky seem to be gaining dominance heading into the final; they have won each of their three tournament matches by successively larger margins.

The final match will be held today at 3:00 p.m. at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT. Their Staples teammate, Tighe Brunetti, will be vying for the state singles title at the same time.
