STORMAC (Staples/Brien McMahon/Norwalk) boys hockey team, which lost two games in the final week of the regular season, heads into the playoffs.

The co-op squad was beaten 6-2 to E.O. Smith-Tolland in Milford on Feb. 26m and 3-1 to Wilton at Ridgefield’s Winter Garden Ice Rink on Saturday.

Uzi Greenman scored and Shane Power and Ford Scherer had assists in the loss to Wilton. Goalie Mason Mountain made 47 saves to keep STORMAC in the game.

In the earlier contest, Mountain made 46 saves off E.O. Smith-Tolland shots. STORMAC led 2-1 heading to the third period before surrendering five goals. 

Cooper Paul and Shane Power had the STORMAC goals. Austin Minoff, Mac Lawton, Paul and Devin Harris notched assists.

Up next is the start of playoffs. 

STORMAC (7-13) will take on Westhill-Stamford in the FCIAC Division II-III tournament in Ridgefield at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. (Game schedules are subject to change; click for the latest CIAC updates.)
