
WESTPORT – The old house at 32 Sturges Commons was built in 1952. The Building Department issued a demolition permit for that house in August 2021.
The demolished single-story house had 2,600-square-feet of living space, three bedrooms, two and a half baths, an unfinished basement and a wood deck.
On the property today stands a 7,000-square-foot, 2¾-story custom design, with a basement area, a garage, six bedrooms, six bathrooms, three half-bathrooms, an open porch, a stone patio, a finished upper story, a finished three-quarter story, a finished attic extension, an unfinished attic expansion and an in-ground pool.
The property traded hands in September 2022 for $4,699,000. It had traded in 2021 for $900,000, in 2019 for $800,000 and in 2000 for $694,000.
The assessed value of the property was $645,000 in 2020 and is $2,536,200 today.
