WESTPORT–The Historic District Commission recently approved the issuance of a permit to demolish the house at 36 Island Way.
The two-story Colonial was built in 1956. It has 3,300-square-feet of living space, three bedrooms, three baths, a half-bath, a flow-thru basement, a flo-thru garage, an open porch, a wood deck and a finished upper story.
The property traded hands in 1998 for $837,000. The property’s current assessment is $894,075.
Island Way is in the Saugatuck Shores area.
