WESTPORT–The Building Department issued a residential demolition permit yesterday for the house at 16 Prospect Road.

Built in 1962, the house is a 2-story Colonial with 2,700-square-feet of living space, five bedrooms, two and a half baths, a basement, an in-ground pool, two stone patios and a finished upper floor.

The property traded hands in September for $1,500,000. It had traded in 1991 for $525,000.

The property’s 2020 assessment was $719,700.
