WESTPORT–The Building Department this month issued a permit to demolish the house at 14 Cockenoe Drive.
The two-story cape was built in 1938. It has 1,700-square-feet of living space, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a garage, an open porch, a finished half-story and a finished upper story.
The property traded hands last year for $2,230,000. It had previously traded for $1,385,000 in 1998. The property’s current assessment is $1,379,600.
Cockenoe is on Saugatuck Shores. It is one of the oldest houses in that area.
