WESTPORT — Updated returns from Tuesday’s elections for local seats in the General Assembly showed Democrats’ slate running comfortably ahead of Republican candidates across the board.

Democratic candidates easily won all of the races on Westport’s ballot, generally winning with vote totals ranging from about 55 to 70 percent.

Complete unofficial election results have been posted early Wednesday on the Secretary of the State’s website.

Here are updated returns in the Westport races: 

  • 26th state Senate District: Ceci Maher, Democrat, defeated Toni Boucher, Republican.

Districtwide: Maher (D) 25,562 votes, 56.87 percent, vs. Boucher (R), 18,639 votes, 41.46 percent and 751 (I) 1.67 percent.

In Westport: Maher (D), 7,834 votes, 63.76 percent, vs. Boucher (R) 4,276 votes, 34.80 percent and 177 (I) 1.44 percent.

  • 136th state House of Representatives District: Jonathan Steinberg, incumbent Democrat, defeated Alma Sarelli, Republican.

Westport: Steinberg (D), 7,294 votes, 69.01 percent, vs. Sarelli (R) 3,276 votes, 30.99 percent.

  • 143rd state House of Representatives District: Dominique Johnson, Democrat, defeated Nicole Hampton, Republican.

Districtwide: Johnson (D) 4,701 votes, 55.38 percent, and 126 (WF) 1.48 percent, vs. Hampton (R) 3,523 votes, 41.50 percent, and 139 (I) 1.64 percent.

In Westport: Johnson (D) 1,082 votes, 66.46 percent and 15 (WF) 0.92 percent, vs. Hampton (R) 515 votes, 31.63 percent and 16 (I) 0.98 percent.

  • Probate judge Westport-Weston (District 50): Lisa Wexler, incumbent Democrat, defeated Patrizia Zucaro, Republican.

Districtwide: Wexler (D) 12,282 votes, 72.70 percent vs. Zucaro (R) 4,611 votes, 27.30 percent.

In Westport: Wexler (D) 8,954 votes, 73.44 percent, vs. Zucaro (R) 3,238 votes, 26.56 percent.
