WESTPORT–Governor Ned Lamont easily beat his challenger, Josh Elliott, in yesterday’s primary vote, according to the Associated Press. Lamont will face Republican Ryan Fazio in the general election on Nov. 3.
With 95% of the state-wide votes counted, Lamont had a better than two-to-one advantage over Elliott.
In Westport, Lamont earned more than 85% of the 1,638 votes cast, according to the New York Times.
