I love Westport. I think it’s the best town to live in, raise your kids in, work in, you name it. I want it to stay that way, and get even better for my family and for yours. That’s why I’m voting for Don O’Day and Andrea Moore for Board of Selectmen. Don and Andrea have hands down the most experience of any of the candidates, and the proven record to run this town. What’s more, Don and Andrea represent the best of who we are as a town – a life-long Democrat and a Republican working together for Westport, for all of us, regardless of party, with no partisanship whatsoever.
Join me and vote for Don O’Day and Andrea Moore – they’re the team we want and the team we need for Westport.

In support of O’Day / Moore
Don has been a life-long Democrat and while some have chosen to impugn his decision to accept the endorsement of the Republican party while he runs as an unaffiliated candidate, I think this is proof positive that his allegiance is to the town and is not biased by, or beholden to, any party dogma. It’s actually quite remarkable in today’s day and age that a candidate would be able to simultaneously hold an allegiance to one party while receiving the endorsement from the other party, all while being an unaffiliated candidate. Don simply has a desire to serve Westport and has shown over many years that he is an incredibly effective leader that has a proven track record of getting things done for the benefit of our community. On November 4th the choice is clear, I hope you will join me in supporting the O’Day/Moore ticket!

Not so fast, you two:
O’Day is NOT a lifelong Democrat. Fact 1: He has denounced the Democratic Party and embraced the Republican platform. Fact 2: His name appears on line B, Republican.
Yet his cheerleaders continue to try and explain these facts away.
The fact is, he is a turncoat. He blows with the changing winds. He is so arrogant he readily admits he knows better than his constituents. And though he boasts about fixing schools … they got broke under his watch.
