WESTPORT–A former Westport woman is due in Superior Court in Stamford on May 5 on charges that she spiked family members’ water supply with prescription medicine, sickening three, police said.

Megan Greenlee, 50, was living in a friend’s apartment in Pleasantville, N.Y., when she was arrested by Westchester County police on a warrant for her arrest in the Westport incident.

On July 4, 2025, Westport Police and EMS responded to the residence on two calls for service involving multiple patients experiencing the same symptoms. A total of three patients were transported to Norwalk Hospital for treatment; one of them was taken twice, police said.

All patients recovered. In interviews with police, they said they suspected Greelee was responsible, according to a police announcement of the arrest.

Police declined to provide specifics on the type of medication or symptoms suffered because of sensitivity with releasing medical information, but said the incident is being treated as a domestic case, suggesting that Greenlee is related to at least one of the alleged victims.

“Investigation of these claims led detectives to a communal water container within the home that was found to contain an unknown sediment,” the police report said. “Samples of this water were collected and sent to the State of Connecticut forensic laboratory for analysis. Chemical analysis showed the presence of prescription medication within the water samples.”

Further investigation linked Greenlee to the medication, police said.

After multiple attempts were made to contact her, Westchester police took her into custody on Feb. 11, Westport police said. Greenlee waived her right to challenge extradition and on Feb. 25, she was brought to Westport for charges – two counts of assault of an elderly person and two counts of second-degree assault, police said. That amounted to one charge for each alleged victim, plus a second charge for the one who was taken to the hospital twice.

She is being held on bail, which was set at a $1 million bond, plus another $10,000 for additional charges stemming from a Stamford – disorderly conduct for a Sept. 27, 2020 incident and two charges of failure to appear in court, on Sept. 23, 2022 and Aug. 11, 2025.

A charge of failure to comply with fingerprinting requirements when she refused to cooperate while being booked, police said.
