WESTPORT — A Fairfield man has been charged with stalking a local women with whom he previously had a relationship, police said.

Jason Yerushalmi, 23, was charged with second-degree stalking, second-degree harassment and second-degree breach of peace in connection with the police investigation.

Police received a complaint Feb. 15 from a local women who said that she was being harassed by a former boyfriend.

According to the complaint, the former boyfriend — identified as Jason Yerushalmi — recently parked near the woman’s workplace, and when she walked outside, tried to talk with her. He then allegedly followed her vehicle as she left, driving close behind her vehicle and flashing his lights.

The woman told police the incident was part of a pattern of harassing behavior that Yerushalmi had subjected her to since last May.

Yerushalmi was later arrested at his residence, and released after posting $25,000 bond. He was scheduled to be arraigned Feb. 18 at state Superior Court in Stamford.
