WESTPORT — A Greenwich man has been charged with running up fraudulent charges exceeding $5,000 on another person’s credit card.
Samuel Finn, 30, was charged Nov. 23 with second-degree identity theft and third-degree larceny.
Police on Sept. 19 initiated an investigation into a report that unrecognized charges of about $5,500 had been made against the complainant’s credit card.
The investigation identified Samuel Finn as the person who illegally used the complainant’s credit card, police said.
A warrant for Finn’s arrest was issued, and on Nov. 23 he turned himself in to Greenwich police and was subsequently taken into custody by Westport police, charged and released after posting $10,000 bond.
He is scheduled to be arraigned Dec. 9 at state Superior Court in Stamford.
