WESTPORT — A Stamford man faces charges after an altercation, which police described as a domestic confrontation, in a Saugatuck Railroad Station parking lot last month.
James Keitt, 34, was charged Oct. 12 with second-degree breach of peace and interfering with an officer in connection with the incident.
Police were dispatched shortly before 7:30 p.m. Sept. 11 to investigate the report of a physical altercation between two people in one of the rail depot’s parking lots.
An officer determined the incident involved “domestic violence,” according to the report, and that James Keitt was identified as the assailant, an account that police said was corroborated by a witness.
After interviewing the two people involved in the altercation, as well as the witness, and reviewing a surveillance-camera recording, a warrant for Keitt’s arrest was issued.
Keitt was taken into custody Oct. 12 in Bridgeport, where police were holding him on the Westport arrest warrant.
He was transported back to Westport, formally charged, held on $25,000 bond until his arraignment Oct. 15 at state Superior Court in Stamford.
