WESTPORT — A 60-year-old man has been charged after a domestic incident apparently turned violent, police said.
David Bernstein, of Weston, was charged March 25 with disorderly conduct in connection with the incident.
Police received a complaint March 15 from the caretaker for a local resident, who reported what was described as a domestic violence incident, according to the report. The victim told the investigating officer that they had been pushed by a relative — identified as David Bernstein — which caused the victim to fall and strike their head on an iron radiator, police said.
A warrant for Bernstein’s arrest was issued, and on March 25 he turned himself in at Police Department headquarters, where he was formally charged. He was released after posting $10,000 bond, and was scheduled to be arraigned the next day at state Superior Court in Stamford.
