WESTPORT — A 70-year-old man has been charged after police said he threatened to kill a local woman.
Roberto Flores, of Westport, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of second-degree threatening.
A local woman told police Sept. 20 that Flores had threatened to kill her on two separate occasions.
The woman told investigators “that to her knowledge there was no argument or altercation that precipitated the comments,” according to the police report.
A warrant for Flores’ arrest was issued and he was taken into custody Tuesday morning, police said.
He was held on $15,000 bond and brought to Superior Court in Stamford to be arraigned on the charge later in the day.
