WESTPORT — A stretch of Bayberry Lane, closed to traffic around noontime Tuesday after a car crashed into a utility pole, reopened to traffic after about an hour.

Police said Bayberry Lane, between Cross Highway and Baldwin Place, was shut down for the emergency-services response to the accident.

The impact of the crash caused the utility pole to crack.

No injuries were reported, police said.

There was no immediate information about whether damage caused to the pole disrupted utility services in the area.
