WESTPORT — A 70-year-old man is accused of burglarizing a local home in July.
Robert Milton, of Bridgeport, faces charges of third-degree burglary and third-degree larceny in connection with the incident.
Police were dispatched about 3 p.m. July 7 to investigate the report of a burglary, where the local homeowner told officers that a bicycle and jewelry had been stolen, according to the report.
Working in conjunction with police in a neighboring community, supplemented by additional evidence, police said Milton was identified as the suspect in the case.
A warrant was issued for Milton’s arrest, and he was taken into custody Oct. 21 by Westport police detectives.
He was held on $10,000 bond for arraignment later that day at state Superior Court in Stamford.
