Following is the obituary for THOMAS JOHN RATTIGAN, Jr., submitted by the family.

Thomas John Rattigan, Jr. (Tom) of Westport suddenly passed away on Jan. 9, 2022, at the age of 58.  

Born in Stamford on April 5, 1963, he spent his youth in many countries, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Mexico City, before coming back to Westport to finish his high school years at Staples. 

Tom worked in construction and quickly became a jack of all trades. He enjoyed fishing and trying to fix anything he could get his hands on. 

Tom will be greatly missed by his children, Thomas F. Rattigan and Kailyn J. Rattigan, both of Fairfield. He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Jane Rattigan of Sarasota, Fla.; the mother of his children, Mariken Rattigan of Fairfield; his three siblings, Donna Rattigan of Fla., Sean and his wife Elizabeth of Stratford, and Kevin and his wife Angie Rattigan of Fla., as well as four nieces and one nephew.  

Tom was laid to rest at the Assumption Cemetery in Westport with a private funeral service on Jan. 14, 2022. A celebration of his life will be held in March.
