WESTPORT — The last day to register to vote in this year’s municipal election is today (Tuesday, Oct. 26).

People eligible to vote in the Nov. 2 election must be 18 years old by Election Day, a U.S. citizen and resident of Westport.

Prospective voters can sign up locally at the Registrars of Voters office in Room 107 of Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Ave.

Potential voters also can register online by 11:59 p.m. today via the Secretary of the State’s website. Click here.

• An exception to today’s voter-signup deadline is Election Day registration for  “any bona fide resident that has not previously registered here,” according to Westport’s registrars. That will take place Nov. 2 in the Town Hall auditorium.
