WESTPORT — Plans to renovate the Compo Beach playground will be detailed at an April 11 special meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission.
The Compo Beach Playground Renovation Committee will present its proposed design to the commission at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 11, in the Town Hall auditorium, 110 Myrtle Ave. The meeting also will be live-streamed via the town’s website and broadcast by Optimum Government Access Channel 79.
The beachside playground, originally built more than three decades ago, was remodeled in 2006 and again needs to be refurbished, according to officials.
The Compo Beach Playground Renovation Committee over several months has been working on renovation plans, which are being supported by the Westport Rotary Club as a community-service project in conjunction with its 100th anniversary.
