WESTPORT — Traffic on a stretch of Riverside Avenue will continue to be re-routed well into next week.

Continuing work on the Riverside Avenue improvement project means that most traffic will be banned from the street, between Bridge Street and Saugatuck Avenue, except for businesses and residents within the construction zone, according to the Department of Public Works.

Traffic will be directed around the project via Saugatuck Avenue and Charles Street, the DPW says.

The Riverside closure is expected to continue through Tuesday, Nov. 23.

Dates and times are approximate and subject to weather conditions, the DPW alert adds.
