WESTPORT — The tide of time is taking its toll on summer, and as the season ebbs, so too is lifeguard coverage at the town’s beaches.

Lifeguards will no longer be on at duty at Burying Hill Beach after Sunday, Aug. 18, according to the Parks and Recreation Department.

Lifeguards will provide coverage at Compo Beach, per the usual schedule, through Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 2.

Vehicles are required to have parking emblems to gain entry to the town’s beaches through Monday, Sept. 30.
