WESTPORT — “Leaf” it to the Department of Public Works.
The disposal of leaves, that is, which continues townwide through Monday, Dec. 6.
DPW crews are collecting leaves in biodegradable paper bags left at curbsides during the annual fall cleanup.
Leaves in plastic bags will not be picked up since they impair composting.
Residents of private roadways must place bagged leaves at an intersecting roadway, according to the DPW.
