On Saturday, December 6th at 8:00 PM, On the Trail, a modern acoustic bluegrass band, will perform at Voices Cafe in Westport. Doors open at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $25 at voicescafe.org.

The band, featuring Austin Scelzo (fiddle, vocals), Tom Polizzi (mandolin, vocals), Charlie Widmer (guitar, vocals), and Matt Curley (upright bass, vocals), blends traditional bluegrass with contemporary pop and original compositions. Static Noise Magazine praises their “standout songwriting, tight musicianship, and rare ability to honor tradition while pushing it forward.”

On the Trail has won the 2022 Thomas Point Beach Band Competition, appeared at the Telefunken Battle of the Bands, and was an Emerging Artist at Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival 2023. Their latest album, Where Do We Go From Here, is available on all streaming platforms.
