WESTPORT–The Westport Book Shop is highlighting the local artist Tammy Winser for the month of July at the Book Shop’s Drew Friedman Art Place. Winser is exhibiting a selection of her “So they say” paintings.
These paintings are about Winser’s love of animals but with a twist: they have human traits or expressions to convey the craziness of life. The media are acrylic and collage on different bases.
Winser began her art career as a kid photographer. She is a graduate of the Parsons School of Design and worked as a print designer at Marc Jacobs. A co-founder of the Artists Collective of Westport, Winser has created public artworks in the United States, Germany and Australia.
The Westport Book Shop will hold a reception for Winser and her exhibit on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Space is limited; please RSVP to the Book Shop by phoning 203-349-5141 or sending an email to RSVP@westportbooksaleventures.org
The art exhibit is open to the public during the Book Shop’s regular business hours: Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays from Noon to 5 p.m. All artwork on display is available for purchase.
